6/01/2006 10:50:00 PM|W|P|Steve Geluso|W|P|You will be hanging out in a cul-de-sac late at night with some friends. The neighbors will probably hear you talking, but no of you will mind much. You're not doing anything too bad. Soon, the talking will escalate to yelling and your harmless pranks will escalate to vandalism. You will throw a rock and break a lamppost.
A police car will roll toward you and everyone will straighten up so they don't look suspicious. There's no way the cop could have seen you break the light or even noticed that it's broken. He will pull up toward your group and start talking to all of you.
"How are you doing tonight boys?" he'll ask.
"Mighty fine sir," you'll answer.
"Up to any mischief?" he'll ask.
"Oh no, sir. We're just talking," a friend will answer.
"Just talking past curfew I see. I'm going to have to write you some tickets." he'll say.
"But officer, we're just talking." you'll say.
"Yeah, we were going to go home before you came, we aren't even doing anything," a friend will chime in.
"That's a lie, son," the officer will answer.
"Well my dad is-" another friend will say.
"Is the brother of the chief of police in this city and will have me fired by the time I get home tonight if I write you boys tickets for something as small as loitering and that ignoring this curfew infringement may be very profitable for me?" the officer will say.
"Uh, yes," your friend will say realizing that the officer said, word for word, exactly what he was going to say.
The officer will have his tickets out now and start writing some up. "So which one of you threw the rock?" he'll ask.
"There's no way you could have seen that!" you'll say.
"Look, I'm an officer of the law. Check the badge."
You'll look at the badge and see "Officer Future" emblazoned in the center.
"I know that one of you threw a rock and broke that lamp post," Officer Future will say.
"That's impossible! You're saying that-" you'll ask, confused.
"That I came from the future? I knew you'd ask that." he'll interrupt.
"Well, if you're from the future, why don't you know who threw the rock?" one of your friends will ask.
"I don't know who threw the rock. I just got the call 10 minutes ago. The future isn't a beautiful place," Officer Future will say.
"This is insane. What good is a cop from the future anyways?" You'll ask.
Officer Future will shoot you in the chest.
You will fall to the ground, your chest searing from pain and everything will go black.
"You shot him!" a friend will gasp.
"He threw the rock," Officer Future will say.
"But you said that you didn't know who threw it."
"I knew. I'm Officer Future," he'll say. "Now everyone else get into the car. We're taking a trip to the station. Watch you head." He'll help each of your friends into the car.
You'll regain consciousness in the middle of the street soon after you fell. The cop and all your friends will be gone.
"Don't move," a paramedic will say. In the midst of the shadows you will be able to make out the faint outline of an ambulance. You could have sworn that there was no one else around. "You got shot in the chest. Just sit still."
"AHHHHHHH!" you'll say, squirming on the street bleeding everywhere.
"I said 'sit still!' You're going to suffer from massive hemorrhaging in three minutes if you don't do what I say! We've already lost you twice." said Paramedic Future.|W|P|114923125513271012|W|P|Officer Future|W|P|stevegeluso@gmail.com
